Dr. Dhrupad Mathur has been active in the fields of ICT, development, policy advisory, program management and education since last 11 years. Presently he works as the Director (Industry Interface) at SPJCM Dubai, UAE. S P Jain Center of Management is a business school of Indian origin with operations in Dubai, Singapore, Sydney and Mumbai; accredited by the Government of NSW, Australia.
He has served as UN-DESA fellow at Working Group on Internet Governance Secretariat, UNO, Geneva in year 2005. |

Subsequently, he was associated with Diplo Foundation, Geneva, as a tutor and research supervisor for Internet Governance Capacity Building. He was also featured as "Emerging Leaders of the Digital World" and was the Hon. Coordinator for Internet Governance in Asia in 2007. Presently he serves as a member of the Strategy Council of the UN-DESA Global Alliance for ICTD.
Dr. Mathur has worked closely with various ICTD stakeholder groups including the government, international agencies, civil-society and academia. With a Ph.D in the area of e-Business process transformations, he has been an active participant in the fields of policy development and capacity building for Internet Governance, e-Governance and developmental programs; and endeavors to create a meaningful impact via capacity-building in these areas. His initiatives have been in the form of consulting, sessions, workshops, advocacy and publications across India, a few in S.E Asia and Europe. He has contributed actively to various international policy-dialogue processes, publications including WSIS, WGIG, ITU, IGF and UN-GAID etc. His work pertains to technology & development related policy issues and prior to his stint in Dubai, Dr. Mathur worked as Senior Consultant on the National e-Governance Plan of the Government of India at the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, New Delhi, where he coordinated various initiatives towards nation-wide Capacity-Building for e-Governance. |
